About Sri Muniraji
Sri Muniraji is one of Babaji's closest disciples who is totally dedicated to the service of humanity. He is a my beloved guru. In January 1993 he initiated me in the very same room where Babaji stayed in Sri Muniraji's home in Haldwani, India. Then he gave me the mission of bringing Mahavatar Babaji's teachings and messages to my home land of Korea in May 1993. Babaji said of Sri Muniraji that he is the most peaceful man in the world. Babaji gave him the mission of continuing His work of communicating to mankind His messages of repeating the Mahamantra Om namah shivai and of living the high path of Truth, Simplicity, Love, and Service.
According to Gaura devi, a close disciple of Babaji and first western woman called forth by Babaji in the early 1970s, Babaji told her that Sri Muniraji is the incarnation of Lahiri Mahasaya1 and that he has now reached a higher level of spiritual attainment than when he was incarnated as Lahiri Mahasaya. Babaji further said that Sri Muniraji spent more time with Him than in the incarnation as Lahiri Mahasaya.
In the book Teachings of Babaji Babaji talked about Sri Muniraji on 19th July 1983 during the evening darshan at Haidakhan ashram. Sri Babaji commented about Sri Muniraji's invitation to participate in a spiritual conference in Austria in September of that year at which the Dalai Lama would be present. Sri Babaji said:
"Muniraji may attend. The Dalai Lama is not greater than Muniraji. Muniraji is the incarnation of Guru Dattatreya.2 He is a Yogi and spiritually very high. Spread this news everywhere among the people..."

1 In Autobiography of a Yogi Paramahansa Yogananda states that Lahiri Mahasaya is a disciple of Mahavatar Babaji and Swami Sri Yukteswar's (Paramahansa Yogananda's guru) guru. Babaji initiated Lahiri Mahasaya into Kriya yoga.
2 A footnote in Teachings of Babaji states: "Dattatreya - God's gift to Atri: A divine incarnation of Brahma, Vishnu and Shiva in one body, in ancient times. Dattatreya was a great guru and is the author of many sacred scriptures. His teachings are incorporated in the Shirmad Bhagavatam."
